◆April 2008: Transferred to Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research Corp.
Specialist areas: Catalyst chemistry, development of catalysts and manufacturing processes for functional chemicals
My position has changed 180 degrees from someone that requests research to someone that now offers it, and I think that it is important to offer data required from the request standpoint in an accurate manner. I hope that my experiences of successes and numerous failures in the area of research can be reflected at least to a certain extent in my research and analysis work.
◆1987: Graduated from Faculty of Home Economics, Ochanomizu University

◆June 2008: Transferred to Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research Corp.
Specialist areas: Food chemistry, patent prosecution work, patent information research.
Until now, I was a user of the patent information and literature information services provided by Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research Corp., but now that I am in the position of furnishing such services, I want to endeavor to utilize my experience to the fullest based on our company’s rich experience and track record, and high research and analysis quality, in order to respond at a high level to the requests and needs of clients.

◆1970: Completed master course majoring in biological chemistry at the Department of Agriculture, Graduate School, Kyoto University
◆1970: Entered Mitsubishi Kasei Corp. (currently Mitsubishi Chemical) Worked in R&D department in development of steroid fermentation technology, research of amino acids manufacture using enzymes, investigating microorganism-derived bioactive substances, and production technologies for animal feed antibiotics, and achieved commercialization. Subsequently, participated in establishing and managing a university-originated bioventure company.
◆August 2008: Entered Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research
Until now I have been involved in basic through to applied R&D in the field of biotechnology centered on microorganisms and enzymes. I believe that my valuable experiences and wide networks through my work with starting up and managing national projects and my venture experience that would not have been attainable through research activities alone will prove to be very valuable in my new role. Research and consulting work is an area where I already have experience, and through making the most of my previous experience and networks, I want to carry out my work in order to answer to the real expectations of clients.

◆1996: Completed course majoring in chemical environmental engineering at Engineering Research Department, Graduate School, Oita University
◆Worked in patent applications and patent research at a patent office and an intellectual property department of a cosmetics company.
◆October 2008: Entered Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research
Specialist areas: Applied microbiology, enzyme chemistry, patent research, patent application management
My experience in patent investigation work has exceeded five years. I would like to utilize to the fullest my experience and knowledge including patent data analysis and processing methods that I have learnt to date, and endeavor on a daily basis to provide research results aligned with customer needs.

◆1996: Completed digestive pharmacology major course at Medical Faculty Pharmacology Laboratory of China’s Yanbian University of Science and Technology
◆2008: Completed doctorate course majoring in ??regenerative medical science?? at the ??Postgraduate Medical and Dental Training Center?? of Hiroshima University.
◆October 2008: Entered Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research
Specialist areas: Pharmacology, microbiology, cell biology
I have come from research in the pharmaceutical sector and dived into the new challenge of research and consulting. For myself, I think this sector will provide an opportunity to allow me to further express my capabilities and widen my knowledge. I want to try my best in order to become a full-fledged expert in the research and consulting field, and someone that can be depended on.

◆1990: Graduated from Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Tokyo Metropolitan University
Worked for a total of 15 years in patent applications and various patent surveys at a patent office and a patent research company.
◆March 2009: Entered Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research
Specialist areas: Chemistry, patent applications, various patent information studies
I want to utilize to as great an extent as possible the search techniques and knowledge cultivated to date from my patent investigation experience in my new work. I will strive to improve my search techniques so that I am able to furnish clients with as accurate information as possible in as efficient a manner as possible, and I plan to carefully engage in my work while deepening my understanding of technology.

◆1975: Graduated from Waseda University, School of Science and Engineering
◆1977: Graduated from master course of Waseda University
◆Entered Mitsubishi Chemical. After being attached to the technology development research institute at Yokkaichi, he was involved over the years in a variety of R&D including basic research, R&D, commercialization research, market development research, joint research, and project research.
◆November 2006: Transferred to Dia Research Martech, Inc., where he occupies his current position.
◆Itoh’s major at university was catalyst chemistry (transition metal catalysts, syngas manufacture)
◆At Mitsubishi Chemical, Itoh’s particular research focus was the petrochemical and performance chemical segment. In the petrochemicals field, Itoh was involved for with acrylic acids (esters) and super adsorbent polymer (SAP), while in performance chemicals, he participated in the development of acrylic emulsions and in the adhesives segment, among others. He was involved for many years in the market for hygiene materials such as disposable diapers and sanitary napkins. Expertise acquired include radical polymerization, polymer design, realizing higher performance, human urine chemistry and pulp/fiber/nonwoven engineering. Peripheral technologies acquired include polymerization reaction engineering, scale-up, equipment design (PII/PFD), analysis (NMR/ESR) and intellectual property (applications, objection statements, U.S. lawsuits).
Born in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. my family were part-time farmers and I was raised in a relatively peaceful environment. After joining the company, I was of the intent not to enter the polymer world but the majority of his time was spent in the world of SAP. Other than work immediately after entering the company, I searched for and nurtured work independently. There were many examples of successful commercialization but at the same time, there were also many hard-to-experience examples of failure. In think“Business is comprised of people, objects, money, knowledge, wisdom, failure and success experiences.”My forte is language. I now wants to fully utilize is experiences nurtured to date at Mitsubishi Chemical Techno-Research Corporation in the company’s business not in black and white, but from a broadband perspective.
